The Bahamas is popular with US jet-setters looking to explore some of its 700 islands, each of which has its own personality. Blessed with some of the clearest waters in the world, these islands include some uninhabited cays and the longest, whitest beaches you may ever see.

Car hire is the best way to get around although there are some bus services on some of the islands, these however can be expensive.
The islands of the Bahamas are a year-round holiday destination although the more southerly islands can get very hot in July and August. The peak season is typical of the Caribbean and runs from mid-December to mid-April especially around the Easter and Christmas weeks and the rainy season runs from May to November, when there is a small possibility of hurricanes.
