- Free access to the public beach and exclusively private beach is only a short distance away, with horse riding excursions, which can be arranged on request.

- Located on the North Coast of Jamaica, Runaway Bay, home to Whistling Villa which is nestled between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, and is famed for having one of Jamaica's finest beaches.
- Runaway Bay is so named because it was once an escape route for runaway slaves. Nearby Discovery Bay was actually first visited by Christopher Columbus during his voyage in 1494, hence its name.
