Overview

This apartment, City Walk, in Fishergate should meet your needs for a thoroughly relaxing and satisfying stay in the ancient city of York. 10 min walk to the city centre - the city wall can be seen from the landing.  Non-smokers only and no pets.

Close by are pubs and restaurants - the nearest are about 150 yards.  The newsagent and general store is only 50 yards from the apartment.

The apartment has been recently refurbished and has new windows and wooden blinds throughout. The accommodation includes entrance hall, living room with dining area, kitchen, double and single bedrooms and bathroom.

The many attractions of York include the magnificent York Minster, the Jorvik Viking Centre, the Castle Museum with its Victorian street scene and Dick Turpin's cell, the City Wall, Clifford's Tower, the National Railway Museum and, of course, its famous streets such as The Shambles and Stonegate.

Morning coffee or afternoon tea at Betty's is a 'must do'. York is an ideal shopping centre and in Marks and Spencer there is a freephone to an immediate taxi service (less than £4 when used in November 2007) to avoid carrying back your parcels!

A river cruise takes you along the Ouse to Bishopthorpe as you enjoy lunch aboard.
