Limassol is the second biggest town of Cyprus and there are numerous beaches to choose from. As a shopping centre, Limassol offers the full range from modern to traditional.

Famed for the friendly local hospitality, archaeological sites, mediaeval castles, fun-loving reputation and nightlife, Limassol is the perfect destination for holidaying.

Pissouri beach is located near to its village. The waters are clean, warm and safe to swim in with a beautiful sandy, shingle beach. During the summer there are a number of water sports facilities and there is also a small diving school for anyone who would like to learn scuba diving.

Weather, flight and travel information in and around Cyprus

With its intense Mediterranean climate, the island’s weather is easy to predict. The summer months of June to September are hot and action-packed. August in particular is the peak of Cyprus’ tourist season. October to May are the quieter months of autumn, winter and spring. Rain falls mainly in autumn and winter and rare outside these months.

Most visitors to Cyprus arrive by air and there are many airlines that offer charter flights and travelers may be able to pick up cheap last-minute tickets with charter companies if they shop around.

Travelling between the South and North is easy nowadays, since the restrictions on crossing the border have been eased. However, you are only allowed to cross at designated checkpoints.
