Roads with very little traffic allow easy access in less than 20 minutes: zoos and theme parks, 2nd world war sites, lakes, fishing and golf.
Local towns and villages are proud of their bakeries and special street markets. Within 1 hour: Mont St Michel, St Malo old town, Caen, the coast with wonderful sandy beaches, ferry day trips to Channel Isles.
