Peloponnese holiday apartments
Holidays in Greece, holiday villas in Greece & the Greek Islands
A region that is picturesque - whitewashed houses nestled around harbours full of fishing boats, ancient Greek history and Byzantine architecture - the Pelopponese is joined to the mainland via the Corinth Canal. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The Mani region is stunning, rugged and remote. The town of Areopoli is home to the Diros Caves, where boats take visitors into the underground cave networks. A village of special beauty is Kardamili, an up market place that appeals to writers, artists, walkers and nature-lovers alike, and has been toted as the new Cote d’Azur by travel aficionados. The two glorious beaches of Stoupa and Kalogria, offer excellent swimming and sunbathing, snorkelling, boating and fishing conditions, with their crystal clear waters and golden sands.
Home to the original Olympics in the 11th century, Olympia is unsurprisingly one of the most popular traveller destinations in Greece. The original site still remains, and the baths and gymnasium are still recognizable. South of Olympia is the Temple of Bassae, built 420 years BC and is one of the best preserved in Greece.
