Other features
  • Calpe is situated in the northern Costa Blanca, with its dramatic mountain backdrop, lovely sandy beaches and whitewashed villages. It is approximately 50 minutes from Alicante airport and 90 minutes from Valencia airport.
  • The area receives on average 320 days of sunshine each year and is rated as one of the most healthy places to live by the World Health Organisation.
  • Hike to the top of the Calpe Rock (not for the faint hearted) for fabulous views or take a walk along the coastal path. Calpe is a mixture of the Old town with its Moorish influence (Moors and Christians festival held in October) and modern Spain. A weekly market is held on Saturday morning and is well worth a visit.
  • Closest places of interest are Altea and Benissa small Spanish towns. Inland is the Jalon Valley with its vineyards, bodegas and many restaurants. For other excellent beaches and restaurants the coastal resorts of Moraira, Javea and Denia.
  • There are several 9 and 18 hole golf courses within easy reach.
