Bedroom/s - #2
  • Each of our 15 log cabins has 2 bedrooms.
  • Bed configuration varies - some have 2 doubles, some 4 singles, some 1 double & 2 singles, to meet the needs of the various guests.  We have hid-a-bed pull-out sofas in some of the cabins, to meet the needs of larger families. 
  • Guests enjoy full housekeeping benefits with our American Packages.  Those taking the Light Housekeeping package make their own beds, and tidy their own space. All bedding, towels, linens are supplied no matter what package you use.
  • The comfortable mattresses insure a wonderful sleep in the quiet serene surroundings. The bedrooms have night stands, alarm clocks, dressers & mirrors to accommodate all your needs. Drapery in all bedrooms is black-out lined, to ensure a comfortable, light-free rest.
  • The living room space in the cabins boasts satellite TV, high speed internet, comfy sofa and chairs. Each cabin has its own private deck, and firepit, with lawn chairs.
Bathroom/s - #1
  • Each cabins has a 3pc bathroom with shower. 
  • Towels, shampoo, soap and conditioner are supplied.
Kitchen
  • Each cabin has a kitchenette with 2-burner stove, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, barbeque on the deck, with dishes and cooking utensils for 6. There are hand-made Tamarac chairs surrounding a large kitchen table.
  • Guests choosing the Light Housekeeping package cook their own meals.  American Package guests have meals cooked for them in the dining room. 
  • Light Housekeeping guests are able to eat some meals in the restaurant; we just ask them to reserve ahead.
Lounge / dining
  • The fully licenced dining room features a buffet breakfast with lots of choices, to start your day off right. 
  •  We pack a bag lunch or supplies for a "shore lunch"  your guide will prepare from your morning's catch of fish.
  • Enjoy a bountious 3 course dinner featuring some locally grown fruits, such as cranberries or blueberries.  We have many testimonials to the great food people enjoy while here.  Our deck overlooking the water is a great place to relax and swap stories about the day. Under construction is a new recreation building where we will have a pool table, 52" TV, games area, weight room, and fireplace for visiting and relaxing.
Outside features
  • Bakers Narrows Lodge is located on Lake Athapapuskow,(meaning "rocks all around" in Cree, in N Manitoba. A beautiful spot in the Canadian Shield, with high rock faces rising from the lake, boreal forest and hundreds of miles of shoreline.It is a trophy lake for Lake Trout, Northern Pike & Walleye. Because we catch & release the large fish, there are more Master Angler fisherman awards every year.
  • Our Wilderness Package gives guests the opportunity to stay on one of these remote lakes for 3 to 7 days. Boats & motors, tents, firepits, cooking supplies provided in the package.  Guests bring own bedding, groceries and fishing gear.  We supply the party with a satellite phone for use in case of an emergency, and send a plane to check on the party
Other features
  • We often see wildlife - black bears, moose, deer, caribou, otters, beavers and foxes, as well as bald eagles, golden eagles, pelicans, loons, mergansers, and great blue herons.
  • Be sure to bring your camera.  There are lots of beautful scenery shots, limestone cliffs, walking and biking trails.
  • You can take a scenic flight in one of our float planes, or rent a pontoon boat to tour the many inlets and bays along the beautiful shoreline on Athapapuskow
