Credit crunch 'not putting off property buyers'.

An analyst has refuted suggestions that the global credit crunch is affecting demand for foreign property.

This comes after the National Association of Estate Agents said global financial issues are unlikely to dampen demand for overseas property among British buyers.

Mediterranean attracts UK visitors.

The Mediterranean is still a major draw for people from the UK, according to a new study.

Research by TNS Travel and Tourism found that more than two-thirds of the British population are planning to head overseas this year.

Although long-haul destinations were found to be attracting increased levels of interest, this does not seem to be impacting on the appeal of more established markets.

This was highlighted when 27 per cent of respondents said they are booking seven nights in a location along the Mediterranean coastline.

Morocco 'needs more media coverage in UK'

The level of coverage Morocco receives in the British press has been criticised by an analyst.

Sharif Hikmat Nashashibi of Arab Media Watch said the extent of Morocco's popularity among UK nationals is not being adequately reflected in the media.

A380 flights to start from Heathrow.

Flights from Heathrow on the Airbus A380 superjumbo, the world’s largest commercial airliner, will start next Wednesday 19 March.

Singapore Airlines has taken delivery of its third double decker A380 and is still the only airline in the world to be operating the new plane. Daily services between Singapore and Heathrow will begin on the evening of Tuesday 18 March when flight SQ322 flies from Singapore to London, with the return leg from Heathrow departing on 19 March.

easyJet offers Easter holiday deals.

Low fares airline easyJet says it will welcome 500,000 passengers on flights during the Easter holidays and it has a range of last minute deals for people looking for an Easter holiday.

Of the half a million passengers it expects this Easter, easyJet says over 300,000 will take flights from Gatwick, Luton airport and Stansted airport. The low cost airline says with Easter coming early the favourite destination this year is Geneva, which offers great access for a skiing holiday in the Alps.
