Fitness holidays for a perfect winter break.

If you fancy a holiday getting fit while seeing the sights there are yoga breaks, tai chi experiences and even tango tasters to choose from.

Travel company Flight Centre has put together five tailor-made holidays for anyone determined to keep their New Year’s resolution to get in shape.

‘Find your chi in China’ is a five night stay in a 4 star hotel in Shanghai complete with a three hour tai chi class with prices from £635 per person including return flights. “Tai chi originated in China in the 1820s and has long been renowned for its calming benefits, but is also a great way to improve fitness and longevity,” notes the company.

Disney creates holidays for popstars.

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts is creating a new American Idol attraction in Florida for wannabe popstars.

The new Disney attraction will be at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park and is expected to open by the end of this year. It is being developed in association with 19 Entertainment, creator of American Idol and X Factor, and FreemantleMedia Licensing.

New Heathrow Terminal 5 prompts airline moves.

The opening of the new Terminal 5 at Heathrow at the end of March will see a number of airlines moving from their existing terminals at Heathrow.

British Airways is moving more than 90% of its flights to Terminal 5 in two phases. On 27 March all BA’s long haul and domestic flights from Terminal 1 plus all short haul flights from T1 (except flights to Barcelona, Helsinki, Lisbon, Madrid and Nice), and all short haul flights from Terminal 4, plus all Miami flights from Terminal 3 will move to the new T5.

Clickair to start low cost Gatwick Bilbao flights.

Spanish low cost airline clickair will be starting daily flights from Gatwick to Bilbao in Northern Spain from March.

The new flights will start on 30 March when clickair takes over the Gatwick to Bilbao route from one of its founders, the Spanish airline Iberia. Outbound fares are expected to start from £32, and inbound fares from £16.
